Dr. Subramanian Swamy Confident of Repeal of Endowment Act by the Supreme Court; Hindu Temples must be Managed by Hindus only. Watch his Keynote speech in Visakhapatnam.
Dr. Subramanian Swamy delivered the keynote address at a seminar on ‘Repeal of Endowments Act’ organized here on Saturday by the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation as part of its ‘save temples mission’, Dr. Subramanian Swamy said that when the Tamil Nadu Government sought to take over the Chidambaram temple, he had moved the Supreme Court.
“The Endowments Act itself is in violation of the Article 26 of the Indian Constitution (which allows freedom to manage religious affairs). Why is it being implemented only for Hindus but not for other religions?” he questioned.
“The days of the Endowments Act are numbered and it is bound to be scrapped by courts even if it is not repealed by the government. Then, lakhs of temples in the country will be freed from the clutches of the government.”
Dr. Swamy suggested to GHHF that we should stop having these seminars on the repeal of the Endowment Act; instead start having brain storming seminars on the Management of Hindu Temples by Hindus. Please watch his lecture on YouTube by clicking on the links provided below:
