With an objective to save the temples and protect the Sanathana Dharma, Global Hindu Heritage Foundation and SaveTemples (USA) have come together with an initiative. An International Documentary Festival On “Ancient Hindu Temples In My Village(Town)– Past & Present” will be held on  March 2016 at Hyderabad.  

The theme for the fest is ‘Ancient Hindu Temples In My Village(Town)– Past & Present’. The documentary should be more than 100 years old ancient temples with its history, importance, festivals and its temple lands etc. This information was released in a press note by the organization’s founder Prof. Velagapudi Prakasarao and Cultural Brand Ambassador Dr. Ghazal Srinivas. 

The Savetemples Organization is striving to protect temples which are in dilapidated condition across the world. They are also working towards protection of cows and Sanathana Dharma. The documentary festival is an attempt to create awareness about these issues among the people. 

The duration of the documentary should be minimum of 10 minutes duration. It can be made in any language but English subtitles are mandatory. 

The best documentary will be given a cash prize of 1 lakh rupees, second best documentary gets Rs.75,000 rupees and third best documentary will get Rs.50,000 rupees. Three additional consolation cash prizes of Rs.10,000 each will also be given away to selected documentary makers. Apart from the prizes, winners will be honoured with Memento and Participation Certificate and the every participant will get Appreciation certificate.

The last date to register yourself and fill online application is 31^st January, 2016. Those who submitted online application are only eligible to participate in this contest.

దేవాలయ పరిరక్షణ, సనాతన ధర్మ రక్షణ ద్యేయంగా మహోధ్యమంగా సాగుతున్న గ్లోబల్ హిందూ హెరిటేజ్ ఫౌండేషన్ మరియు సేవ్ టెంపుల్స్(USA) అద్వర్యంలో సేవ్ టెంపుల్స్ అంతర్జాతీయ డాక్యుమెంటరీ చలన చిత్రోత్సవం 2016 మార్చి లో హైదరాబాద్ లో "మా ఊరు - మా పురాతన దేవాలయం - నాడు-నేడు" అన్న అంశం పై అంతర్జాతీయ డాక్యుమెంటరీ చలన చిత్రోత్సవం నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు ఆ సంస్థ వ్యవస్థాపకులు ప్రో వెలగపూడి ప్రకాశరావు మరియు  సాంస్కృతిక ప్రచార సారధి డా. గజల్ శ్రీనివాస్ ఒక పత్రికా ప్రకటనలో తెలిపారు.

100 సంవత్సరాల పైబడిన దేవాలయాల విశిష్టత, చరిత్ర, వైభవం, వాటి ఉత్సవాలు, దేవాలయ మాన్యాలు మరియు వర్తమానంలో ఆ దేవాలయ పరిస్థితులు హృద్యంగా డాక్యుమెంటరీ లో ఉండాలని, అది ఏ భాషలోనైనా నిర్మాణం చేయవచ్చునని కాని ఇంగ్లీష్ సబ్ టైటిల్స్ విధిగా ఉండాలని వారు కోరారు. ప్రతి డాక్యుమెంటరీ నిడివి సరిగ్గా 10 నిమిషాలు మించకుండా  ఉండాలని, జాతీయ సమైక్యతను భంగ పరిచే అంశాలు అందులో ఉండరాదని తెలిపారు.  ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా అతి ప్రాచీన దేవాలయాల వైభవాన్ని, నేడు ఆ దేవాలయాలు ఎదుర్కొనే సవాళ్ళను అందరికి అవగాహన కలిగించే ఉద్దేశంతో ఈ డాక్యుమెంటరీ చలన చిత్రోత్సవాన్ని నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.  

విజేతలుగా నిలిచిన డాక్యుమెంటరీలతో పాటుగా జ్యూరి చే ఎన్నిక చేయబడిన కొన్ని డాక్యుమెంటరీ లను 2016 మార్చి లో జరిగే చిత్రోత్సవం లో ప్రదర్శిస్తామని, అలాగే విజేతలకు బహుమతి ప్రదానం ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు.  

ఈ పోటీలో గెలుపొందిన ఉత్తమ డాక్యుమెంటరీ చిత్రానికి లక్ష రూపాయలు నగదు బహుమతి, ఉత్తమ ద్వితీయ చిత్రానికి 75 వేల రూపాయలు  నగదు బహుమతి, తృతీయ చిత్రానికి గాను 50 వేల రూపాయలు  నగదు బహుమతి ని అందజేస్తామని, వీటితో పాటుగా మూడు ప్రోత్సాహక బహుమతులు ఒక్కింటికి 10 వేల రూపాయలు చొప్పున ఉంటాయని,  వీటితోపాటుగా ప్రశంసా పత్రాలు, జ్ఞాపికలు బహుకరించబడతాయని తెలిపారు. అలాగే పంపిన ప్రతి ఎంట్రీకి ప్రశంసా పత్రాలు అందజేయబడతాయని తెలిపారు.  

పోటీలో పాల్గొనే ఆశక్తి ఉన్నవారు తమ సుముఖతను 2016 జనవరి 31 వ తేది  లోపు సేవ్ టెంపుల్స్ (www.savetemples.org) వెబ్ సైట్ లో ఉన్న ఆన్ లైన్ అప్లికేషను ద్వారా నమోదు చేసుకోవాలని. గడువు తేది లోపు వచ్చిన ఎంట్రీ లకే  ఈ పోటీలో పాల్గొనే అవకాశం ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు.
