For centuries Hindu Temples have played a significant role in the growth and integration of the Hindu community by upholding the eternal Hindu Dharma. Every sub-community in the villages had a role to play in up keeping the traditions, practicing the rituals, promoting the religious discourses, conducting Bhajans, and disseminating the knowledge.

The times have changed; negligence, apathy, ignorance and silence on the part of Hindus have resulted in the neglect of their Temples. Government take over of Hindu Temples created havoc in the maintenance, preservation and protection of Hindu culture, Hindu Temples, Hindu way of life, and dharmic philosophy.  Hindu Community is shirking it’s responsibility of practicing their religion, failing to challenge the government interference with Hindu Temples, and skirting their obligation to advocate the richness of it’s way of life.

In order the to make Hindu aware of the significance and importance of our Hind Temples Global Hindu Heritage Foundation decided to bring out a CD entitled Devaalayam to create an environment for Hindus to appreciate, understand, love, practice and protect their Hindu culture.  The aim of GHHF is to make Temples epicenters of rituals and congregation, lighthouses of philosophy, powerhouses of Sanatana dharma, fortresses of performing arts, centers of dance and drama, citadels of dialogue and debate, centers for meditation and yoga, which are the basis of Hindu Dharma.
